Does universal basic income work?

What countries have tried it? What are the findings so far? Do the users booze it away? Or do they use it for rent and food?

Here is a good, balanced article on Cato on the subject. Bottom line is that it’s not clear. The users do not appear to “booze it away”, but the economic benefits are mixed.

I think it could work under the right circumstances, it’s going to become more of “a thing” in the next 25 years.

No. All it does is raise the poverty level by a little bit. Prices adjust over time to higher levels.
