The great theme underlying the pandemic is that the country will never be the same. How about you?

I will be more jaded.

My doomsday preping would no longer be frowned upon and enjoying being a shut in would just be normal. Or viewed as ahead of the curve.

I became a semi-hermit many years ago. I hate going out shopping, my only (face) contact is with family, so nothing is changed for me.
I am unhappy that the Jazz Jubilee I go to every year is cancelled.

Nothing will be different. I’m still the same person.

I think we will get back to normal very soon actually. Americans are prone to doing whatever they want since we’re all used to that freedom stuff. Haha!

Honestly I don’t plan on doing anything different other than re-creating my stockpile differently. This has been eye-opening but in a positive way for me.

I will be muttering more fuck yous at stupid American Presidents whenever I see them on TV.

You’re in for a lot of fk yous. The truly stupid ones cannot resist tv.

If we get a vaccine, or if I catch it and get better and become immune, then I will go back to how I was, with the exception that I might start getting a flu vaccine regularly. Not so much because of Covid, but I’ve been suffering with a lung problem for three months and worrying about that and a killer respiratory virus floating around caused so much more added stress.

I already was careful to some extent about washing hands and not touching my face and refusing handshakes during flu season.

I think there will be more people in the country like me, that will be nice actually.

I do want a pool at my house and a bigger house again in case I ever have to stay home again. I also will stay more stocked in my pantry and paper goods than I used to be. I always was half ready during hurricane season, but the other half of the year I didn’t keep much food in the house.

I will stock up on certain items. I will be more leery of people in general. I don’t know how to describe it, it’s just a feeling.

I will make sure to get any medical tests I need as soon as they are ordered. (I have two I should have had by now and now i am not going). Dental work done asap as well.

Just been knocked on my ass. Happened many times too numerous to count. The story of my life. Just get up and keep moving.

Obama said change was coming to America. I guess he was right…

A greater appreciation of being able to walk outside without having to strategically think about it.

With that aside, why does the question state, “the country” versus “the world”? Is it hypothetical, or an error, or is only one country in mind?

Selfish oversight.
