Are We Tired of Winning Yet?

Asked by Darth_Algar (18933points) December 14th, 2020

In spite of Trump’s month-long tantrum it’s officially official. The Electoral College has cast its vote, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. will officially be the 46th President of the United States. Now can we finally put Trump’s childish nonsense to bed and stop paying any attention to him?

I wish this would truly happen, but I lost faith in people having common sense a long time ago and the Republican party actually keeping the oath they made to uphold the Constitution. I’m sure there will be objections when it goes to Congress. They are not going to be done kicking and screaming all the way till Biden Inauguration.
Hell, it will even go on after that.

You’re probably right, but I do think that, as of late, there’s a certain weariness starting to grow among Republicans, especially in the Senate, towards Trump and his antics.

I would love it to die down.
Once we get Covid19 under control I hope the next 4 years are just boring.

I’m most excited about what will happen to Fox News. Will all the crazies move to Newsmax to get pillows and gold plated coins now?

Made the mistake of seeing several seconds of Stephen Miller on Fox News. Lying and pushing delusions are their norms now. These people are evil and those who believe them are insane. I don’t think insane people will ever get tired of “winning.” They exist in a sick sad dreamland of their own making.

Clearly not, because now drumpf has thrown these self-appointed “alternate electors” into the pool to further muddy the waters:

It really is like a spoiled toddler wailing and screaming as he is dragged out of the kindergarten.

It certainly won’t stop before the Georgia election. I hope after that election cable news will stop being so extreme for a little while. I know that’s probably laughable.

I think in 6 months there might be less Trump in our lives, but not right away. Eventually, he will fade more into the corners of the right wing that many Democrats and mainstream media will be oblivious to. That’s my guess.

While the whole world is tired , stressed of this pandemic Trump makes it worse by trying to be on the News daily.
I think even though he had no real reason to dispute the Election I believe that perhaps he did it to have his name in History recorded no matter good or bad.
A true narcist.
