Name of Isaac Bashevis Singer short story?

Asked by priority (1points) November 3rd, 2008

Way back in high school, I read a short story by this author. It was a fantasy boy-meets-girl tale, if I remember right, but the only detail I can recall was a line about the moon being a skull. I remember the story because everything seemed “turned around”—the sun was evil or feared, night and darkness were welcome… anyway, does anyone know the name of the story?

Perhaps you can find it here:

Most of the references that I find are for “The Slaughterer” or “Blood”.
