Is a CHI hairdryer really worth the money?

Asked by BBSDTfamily (6839points) May 21st, 2009

Please give your opinion if you’ve owned one of these. I always buy $25 hairdryers from WalMart that dry my hair just fine, but only last a year or two. Does the CHI last longer? What are the advantages of having one?

Long answer short- the higher quality tools are less damaging to your hair. If you can afford it, get it. It doesn’t have to be CHI, look for something with negative ionic technology (dries hair faster with less heat) and ceramic or even better tourmaline.

A quick seach showed Conair and Revlon both make a tourmaline ionic dryer under $60. I’ve never used them but if you save the packaging you can return it if it sucks.
