How much space do I need to partition my Mac hard drive for Windows?

I have Boot Camp and want to partition my hard drive and install Windows XP. I have a camcorder with a hard drive that is not compatible with my Mac and can only be used with Windows. I need to know how much space I should give to Windows just to download videos?
Also, I read on Apple.com that I must use Windows with service pack 2.
Has anyone ever done this and if so, how much space did you give Windows on the hard drive?
I only want Windows to use for my camcorder and nothing else.
