It is true, I just returned from 2 weeks in Taiwan, I noticed how amazingly stylish and cute all the girls/women were.

Skirts and boots and dresses. Very few wore jeans.

There were boutiques everywhere and tons of clothing….a girly paradise!

Well I am an Australian girl from, you guessed it, AUSTRALIA.

And I have noticed that many of the Asian girls I have seen wear very cute clothes and can pull them off.

But, There are also many Aussie girls that wear cute clothes and can pull them off too.

@joscketSeper I think maybe you have an Asian girl from Asia fetish and you see/notice/perve at more of them because of it….kind of like you are wearing a visual filter. There ARE asian girls that don’t have nice style, they are just probably filtered out of your vision along with everything else you don’t REALLY want to get busy with.

Well I can certainly tell you that the Taiwanese take offense at being called CHINESE!

Chances are that if they’re studying abroad then they have money, and can afford to pay attention to “fashion”. Most of my Asian friends (and all but a few of my friends are Asian) are in fact pretty well-informed when it comes to style.

But the “hot miniskirts” and “sexy clothes” that you’re talking about sound ridiculous to me. Sounds like a really inaccurate generalization, as I know quite a few girls from Taiwan and China and Korea and Japan and the Philippines and none of them dresses any more “sluttish” (nice word) than the white girls I knew in high school. Actually, the white girls I knew tended to dress that way more than the Asian girls I know now.

The more important question, though, is: Who cares?

Because they know karate and can kick your ass if you complain about it.

I can say many of my Asian friends have nice clothes, but I never thought of them as slutty. They have the bodies though to pull of nice clothes, and that goes for any race actually. If you have a nice bod, you generally look good in nice clothes. I think you may just like Asian girls.

Maybe the American girls have the nous to stay away from creepy guys, and the Asian tourists are yet to learn which guys to stay away from in other cultures.

We are generally laid back, but please don’t form ideas based on our trashy TV! You Brits seem to like the worst parts of our culture – Neighbours and Kylie. My guess is you like those to take your mind of the Ashes and the football, to remind you that we do some things badly!

i think there’s a sort of freedom to wear things you wouldn’t wear when you are away from home and a community where you have to make a permanent impression.

Meanwhile, in Hong Kong and China; I would say generally girls tend to me more conservative than the US. e.g., you’d see fewer girls in tank tops and spaghetti straps than you would, I think, in the US or Europe.

I have to say though, in terms of fashion I generally think American designs are not that great. I always did my shopping back home in HK when I was going to uni – partly for the price, the size, but also for the cut/style.

You are an accurate observer, as many Asian girls (particularly those from Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and China) do like to wear, as you put it, “sexy” clothes. The reason for this is mainly two-fold——1) People in Asia are quite “fashion conscious”, especially in Hong Kong and Japan (Tokyo), two of the world’s fashion hub-bubs. The entertainment industry is hot there, and since fashion is fueled by entertainment, those urban centers are hotplaces for the latest in sexy design. Hence, it is not surprising a lot of young people from there like to dress up in the latest fashions. Secondly, fashionable, sexy clothes are usually made for people who have the “bodies” for them. You got to be slim and have a hot body to fit into such sexy clothes. Asian girls, on average, are “finer boned”, more petite, and more slim than your average North American (white) girl. Therefore, again, you will find more Asian girls tend to wear such clothes, because it naturally looks good on them. (Btw, joscketSeper, don’t mind dpworkin’s crude comment. I thought that was very rude and mean of him, but I’m not surprised he said something like that.)

Honestly, I might be wrong by generalizing those of Asian girls today. I am Asian and studying in the US. I felt like those of Asian are so fashion addicted. They tend to wear more sexy and fashionable. I saw most of American girls wearing the product of China, which are inequality compared to those in Hong Kong and Japanese. they are all brand names such as Hollister, Harry Hansen, Abercrombie, but cannot be compared to Korean’s. I sometimes have to buy Korean clothes outside the US or Korean store in CA. Previously, it’s really sad. I paid for the inequality product with the expensive price. In Korea, those of Korean pay just only 30$ for a jean, when I must pay $60–80 for an unsatisfied one from China. It is unfair.
About Asian girls in the US. I felt that Asian girls are so ambitious than those of girls in the US. I used to have both Asian girls and American girls. Asian girls are always jealous with each other and want to win over another. Mostly, they spoke behind each other.

American girls are so nice, but just hard to communicate with. They are good at paying also (Lolz). They tend to say something honestly than Asian girls who keep their leakage inside. That’s why, in this 22nd century, i want to give credits to American girls than those of Asian girls. Asian girls require from guys too much. For example, “If you want to marry me, you must be more educated than me, you have to have car, house, and must know how to take care my family….etc.” I don’t like that love.

Asian people always stereotype American girls, but when I came to the US, American girls are not like that they thought or I thought.

However, as I experience with many girls in the US. I could compare how nice they are as the following:

Native Indian American> Philipine> Japanese> Korean> Mexican>Lao>Cambodian>Thai>Vietnamese>Chinese>Taiwanese>Hong Kong>Singaporean>Native English> Ukraine>French>Russian.

I got this comparision by studying, hanging out, meeting, working with them.
Honestly, Europeans are not nice compared to others. (they are mostly stingy)
Believe me or not, Just find out yourself by hanging out with them.
They are tough and strict (more discipline). If you meet an American girl who is tough and strict, they might be originated from European or somewhere near Germany, France, Russia, England…etc.

truthtoday i want to give credits to American girls than those of Asian girls. Asian girls require from guys too much. Let me wade in here and see if I can keep the flaming arrows from torching by can of gas. I am not going to duck, dodge and hide from the question by being a PC stat Nazi or someone that wants to question how accurate you are or not.

IMO it looks racy or sexy here because we love our sex in innuendo and double speak not out visually unless they are trying to sell you something, take in the fact that as much as sex is used to sell product, punch up music videos and movies, most gals don’t like to show leg outside the club, etc. That is the reason my most women who don’t need bras are shamed into wearing them. To ooze sex appeal is to be hoochie but you can boink like bunnies all you want in the privacy of your home. I would say IMO that most Yankee chics have a poor self image because most are over weight in some shape of form. If I lined up 30 Asian gals maybe I would see 2 that would be fat or overweight and 3 questionable. If I did that with 30 Yankee gals 21 would be over weight. You can’t have sexy legs or even those you’d want to show outside the house if you are fat.

I was surprised because oout of no where i’ve seen asian foreign students with really short fashionable shorts and boots, and stuff that some American women would think is Sluttish. In America when it comes to sex it is like a man before the mirror who forgets what he looks like the moment he turns from it. It is a crime to look ”slutty” when it may just be sexy, but quite OK to act “slutty”, meet a guy in a bar, rav, frat party hook up in the bathroom, back bedroom or take him/her back home hardly exchange names just boink like crazy and hope you can forget the incident when the booze and other chemicals wear off. Half the time people here could not tell sexy from slutty, fashionable from not if it hit them blindsided.

I’m not sure what “normal nice girls” are (like, as opposed to weird mean girls?), but if you draw this conclusion, I would say you live in the wrong place! All you have to do is make your way to Morgantown, WV on a Friday or Saturday night and you will have all the sluttily-dressed sorostitutes for your gawking pleasure. Seriously, no joke. There are thousands of them and their outfits (or lack thereof) often made me throw up in my mouth a little. It’s gross.

I like wearing real short mini skirts with no panties and then flash my shaved p#sy to guys. It excites me and amuses me to watch all the guys fall over themselves looking up my skirt. My husband gave me a “boob job“so now I have D breasts and love to show them off to guys. It excites and amuses me the way guys always stare at my breasts when they talk to me. Guys like us in short mini skirts, no panties and lots of breast showing. So, why not dress sexy? Just cause I dress like a slut doesn’t mean I am a slut. Who is to say a plunging neck line, tube top, or a micro mini says slut over sexy? We don’t say big tits is pornstarish do we? I have known many women and teen girls who were the neighborhood bicycle (everyone gets a ride) who dressed in over-sized jersey tops and jeans. Just because they did not wear minis did not mean they did not have as many guys through their undies as roaches running from under the fridge or scattering from under the toaster when the lights go on.

Asian girls are just girly. I am an Asian girl and I am girly too. I dress up and I love cute & pretty clothes.Who doesn’t? My parents have been dressing me up like that ever since I was little and I am used to it. I have nice and pretty dresses since young sooo whats the big deal? n we don’t age and mature fast we kinda remain with the same girly looks. We look 18 for a looong time (my aunties all look like that). When I have a daughter I will make sure I doll her up too.. can’t wait to have a daughter.. she will be cute =) I am from Malaysia btw

I don’t think too many State side gals have to worry about appearing to skinny when many wearing skinny jeans you’d be afraid for if they sneezed too hard.
