Why is it that, 8x out of 10, I need to log in when I visit here?

Asked by Adagio (14059points) June 18th, 2012

Today it has happened twice. Previously the site used to log me in automatically but these days it is not happy to do that, something has changed, what is that, why is that and what can I do about it?

I have to when I use InPrivate. When I don’t and I am on my computer it doesn’t. I hope that helps.

First world problems.

@erichw1504 yes because the rest of world doesn’t bother with computers and still communicate via banging on drums.

@Lightlyseared is correct. Is someone using the computer after you and deleting the history when they are done?

Have you updated your browser or your OS with an update? I have had a couple of changes to browsing and log-in after a browser update.

Thanks for all the suggestions, yes I have recently updated the browser, I’m the only person who ever uses this computer, as far as changing privacy settings it’s not something I’ve done consciously … Where should I start first, and what exactly should I do to rectify the situation, please bear in mind that I am not a real technophile, a bit of explanation and clarification please… Pretty please : ^)

@erichw1504 has been sampling many cups of fermented ovaries on the outside of strawberries.
