Anybody have links for older computer specs?

Asked by glosski (122points) July 15th, 2007

I've got an older Compaq 5000 5UVME2 that I am passing on to my brother - 900 MHz so it's still got life - has 3 slots and is holding 256 MB of 100 MHz (PC100U-322-620). Can't find the specs so I know maximum slot and board capacity - keep getting different stories - and can't find the specs for replacement/comparible PC100 SDRAM.

Whenever I'm in doubt I go to crucial.com and run their system analyzer. Then go to newegg.com, not crucial, to buy it on the cheap. Also, check out Ubuntu.com as they have a great Linux OS and live CD.

...Ubuntu is perfect on older hardware and is a fav of mine.
