Are some Fluther functions all wonky for you, and others all but refusing to load, 3-25-16?

Asked by ibstubro (18804points) March 25th, 2016

It was the same for me last night.

Some things open right up, some won’t open at all. I’ve even been emailed I had new activity before it showed up on my Fluther feed.

Damned annoying.

Yep, we’re working on it. One of the Fluther servers has an attitude.

Thanks, @thorninmud!

No one else had mentioned it, so I was beginning to get more and more frustrated. Restarted the computer etc., etc, and nothing helped on my end.

There’s probably exceptionally high internet traffic, too.

Looking better now, from where I sit.

Everything is fine for me. Thanks, Ben! :]

Much better. No more pressing the forward button several times now

Coloma's avatar

Yes, seems better now but last night and this morning it was taking forever to jump around here and post answers.

Still with a slow page turn.

RedDeerGuy1's avatar

Its fast now that I am using my tablet than my smartphone.

ibstubro's avatar

Mine seems perfectly normal, and I’m no desktop.

3–26-16, a.m.
Fluther slow and unresponsive on my desktop.

Coloma's avatar

Yep, same here again this morning. 8:56 am PDT here.

Still slow as of Saturday morning.

A Jelly on FB says we’re lucky to have the site at all. That’s not quite the point.

Buttonstc's avatar

Yeah, the same for me. I thought it was my phone but then decided to check in here. Its frustrating trying to post anything because if it doesnt go through promptly theres always the chance that it ends up getting lost in the ether. Frustrating since i dont keep a record of what i post so no chance to simply c/p to compensate. I guesx I’ll just be limiting myself to reading only.

Fluther is like a deer, running fast one minute then stopping to wander around another.

Berserker's avatar

Bah, lost a whole question because while making sure my links worked, pressing back wouldn’t load back to Fluther. Damned pissed off. And stupid history on my tablet just takes me to my profile. This rots.

Hawaii_Jake's avatar

It’s wonky Saturday morning.

Tropical_Willie's avatar

It takes soooo long I think I could make a pot of coffee between turning pages.
Can’t someone reboot the wacky server??

ibstubro's avatar

Depends on what you’re trying to do.
Sometimes simply opening the link in a new tab will open right up, minutes before the site finds the same page.
Sometimes not.

longgone's avatar

Yes, extremely slow again. We’ve contacted Ben. Hang in there, everyone.

Buttonstc's avatar

@Berserker

I feel for you. That’s exactly what has happened to me in the past. And thats why I’m limiting myself to reading. Or very short answers :)

Same problem. Copy your answer before hitting that Answer button.

Jeruba's avatar

Every time the thing runs slowly, someone posts a question about it. What’s that supposed to accomplish, I wonder?

Jeruba's avatar

@ibstubro, oh, I see. Thanks. I nearly always assume first that it’s the fault of my own computer or our home connection.

Happy Easter!
Early a.m. and my Fluther seems to be working well.

Coloma's avatar

Yep, movin’ right along this morning, Happy Feaster.

One of my favorite songs, “Movin’ Right Along”

.“opportunity knocks once, let’s reach out and grab it. We’ll hitchhike, bus or yellow cab—it…...Cabit?”

Enjoy, all…...A nice cheery song for Easter :)
