I’m going to go out on a limb and assume Luther Strange complimented Trump before Moore did.

Sadly, I believe that is all it really takes.

So this is a thing and is hilarious.

He is like my mom and the date of my birth. She fucks up the month too and she should also not be a good president.

You’re expecting logic, consistency or mutual benefit from Donald Trump?

Could it be because Strange supported Trump over Obamacare?

The gist of this article is that Strange has strongly supported Trump’s agenda in the Senate, and Republican senators strongly requested Trump’s support for Strange.

Just posing the question but could it be that they (Trump and the mainstream Republicans) felt like Strange would be the stronger candidate against a Democrat in the upcoming election? Moore does have a reputation (justified in some most cases) of being an extremist.

McConnell told him to. He was pissed about it after Strange lost.

Not very Strange at all.

Whoever wins the primary, Strange is there and voting until the Midterms are settled.

Better to stroke the guy who is voting now, not the one who might be later.

And if the other guy ( Moore) wins, he will probably vote your way too.

Not complicated.

Turns out it was all a proxy war from the White House conflict between Jared Kushner and Steve Bannon.

From Huffington Post:

“According to two sources who work closely with the young real estate tycoon, Kushner suggested the endorsement, in part, because he believed that a Strange victory would enrage Steve Bannon, the newly reinstalled executive chairman of Breitbart News and a nemesis of Kushner’s from their time together in the Trump White House. Bannon backed the primary winner, Roy Moore, who thinks that homosexuality should be criminalized and suggested this week that parts of the United States are operating under Sharia.”

@Yellowdog I wondered that too. I’m glad he didn’t, that More won for “the people” our grassroots law abiding, Constitutional, Bill of rights loving people. (with an added benefit of SHOCKING THE DAYLIGHTS OUT OF OUR ESTABLISHMENT sitting government both on sides! They need to be jerked upright.
