Did you Try restarting?
Did you put it near something really MAGNETIC?

you can try these: http://udpix.free.fr/ or http://www.jscreenfix.com/
(but they are for Dead Pixels…)

Helpmeplease123's avatar

Yes I tried that and it’s still there.

No I didn’t put it near anything magnetic.

Unless a massage chair is magentic which it isnt.

I’m so confused and worried….. :*(

Omg I was trying to be funny by saying “maybe some Massage Oil got on it”
But it actually makes sense!

Unfortunately my guess is that it’s probably the graphics card :( sorry

Is it a New laptop? I wouldn’t mess with it if it is (don’t try taking it apart!!!) take it to a mac store (they are always REALLY helpful) hope you have a warranty

it’s a piece of shit….and it’s my moms work. She hates it.

I can just blame it on her lol… but she can get another one.

I hope your mom backs stuff up.

Helpmeplease123's avatar

there’s nothing on there and she has it all on her work computer and the year hasn’t started yet.

one other thing to try is hooking it up to an external monitor.

That will help you verify that it is a hardware issue, which it sounds like it is.

It will also make it easier to back other things upl.

Zap the PRAM (look it up on Google). Mine did the same thing a couple weeks ago and this fixed it.

Pick up a copy of Alsoft Diskwarrior, Drive Genius or similar might be an idea.

TRIED . DID NOT WORK.

then you must take it into an Apple Authorized Service Centre. Good Luck!

ecost.com <—- CHEAP

pricewatch.com <—- OLD SCHOOL & CHEAP

newegg <—- POPULAR (as much as i LOVE newegg, they don’t CARE about their customers since they are so big)

Alienware <—- If you have money

Apple <—- if you are a mac guy

Cyberpowerpc <—- Best option imho

Bri_L's avatar

@ windex – That is to bad about newegg. they used to be tops.

windex's avatar

@ Bri- No no, they are still pretty awesome (good prices, fast shipping etc.) but since they have gotten much much bigger, customer service I don’t think is their first priority.
I still buy from them though… (reminds me of that South Park episode about wal-mart)

@ windex – hehehe I was just thinking that.
