What do you think you are much better at than you actually are?

Being a Dad. My daughter and I have always been very close. Lately she’s becoming more distant towards me. Less hugs, less talk, and less well, everything. She just turned 13 so maybe that explains a lot. She’s very moody and just wants to spend time with friends instead of doing anything with family. I’ve taken all this by surprise and I’m trying to cope with it. I always considered myself an awesome Dad and have been told numerous times that I am but lately it has me second guessing myself.

@Coolhandluke At her age,I know that I wanted to be with friends more than family-and I did love my parents.
You probably are a very good dad but at that age, they want a little freedom. You remember… :)

I’ve turned my bass 90 degrees, but that didn’t make it better…

@Coolhandluke Your post in itself shows how much you care for your daughter, mine was the same & she only just left her teens behind. They do that, it’s fine bud, trust me.
