It's 2009! what party drink or beverage do you start with and end with?

Asked by charliecompany34 (7810points) December 22nd, 2008

well, at about 10 o’clock, i started out with cranberry juice, but somebody said “have you ever tried this?” next thing you know, you awake on a beautiful hardwood floor the next morning and don’t know why.

or you just stay with the gin and tonic and, well, still end up sleep on the floor.

Hot chocolate, or if I’m feeling really crazy, sparkling apple cider!

It depends on where I am and who I’m with. Last year and the year before, we hit some clubs with open bar in Stamford. There were a few drinks that night but more than a few of Red Bull and vodka.

I start and end the year with champagne. Cheers!

I have no idea. Literally:

Every year at the New Years party (not really a party, just like 7–8 people come over to chill out till midnight) each person brings some soda, juice, et cetera and keeps it covered in a bag. I put out cups for each one of my friends, and myself. Then, at interspersed times at the night, each one of us goes back to the kitchen with his/her soda, and pours it in a few cups (the idea is to pour it in only a few, in different amounts, so that each drink should be pretty random).

At midnight, after everyone has finished, we each take a cup and, at the countdown, take a swig of our drink, usually sharing them around afterwards to see what we’ve come up with.

Either a Sidecar (brandy/Cointreau/lemon juice) or a Bronx River.

Last time I checked it’s December 22nd, which is not 2009.

@aanuszek1

That’s a really good point.

@aanuszek1, I think it was hypothetical.

Start with a Long Island Iced Tea or a Bahama Mama and end with a beer.
