Are you the type of person that wakes up, jumps in the shower and gets dressed right away or are you the type that hangs out in sweats or jammies until you have to get ready?

I don’t mean on work days, I mean on weekends or lazy days when you know you don’t have anything important to do. I’m definately a lounger, I don’t get ready until I need to. I love being happily disheveled.

I wake up early every day even if i dont have a reason too, alarm not set. Take a shower immediately, put on some basketball shorts and do whatever i have to do. Ill get dressed whenever i need to go out.

I don’t feel fully awake until I put on pants. Something about wearing sweats or “jammies” makes me sleepy.

@Vinifera7 i agree – the shower starts my day. but on the weekend, you sometimes just wanna veg.

I hit the snooze button 3 or 4 times and then I HAVE to put it in high gear. On the rare occasion when I get up early, I usually get distracted by something and find myself rushing to get ready anyway.

Well, let’s see it is 1pm and I’ve gotten up, Fluthered a bit, had breakfast, did some reading, took a nap, had breakfast and am now getting ready to hop in the shower and go run some errands.

Yup, still in sweats.

It depends how late im up the night before. If im up really really late, ill sleep as long as i can usually making me have to get up quickly, but if i have nothing to do for a couple hours, like today, ill sit around in my PJs and a blanket until its time for the day to begin.

On work days I’m all business; up immediately, brush, shower, dress, grab a piece of fruit and out the door. But my Sundays are mine. I’ll get up early, read the paper, fluther, read a book, whatever, all in my recliner. This lasts until my family wakes and comes out to the living room. That’s when my nine year old usually turns on the TV, or plays the Wii. Then I get up and eat something, then shower and dress. Afterwards, perhaps a fifteen minute catnap and then I’m good for the day.

I wake up super early everyday, but I hang in my comfy clothes/pjs until I need to go out.

I’m up and out of the house right away on a weekday, but weekends are different.

It’s ten thirty here and I’ve spent the last two hours sitting in my comfy chair, in a corner in my home office, surfing the net and drinking coffee.

Jammies, internet, shower

I might sleep an hour, perhaps two, later than I usually do, but I always dress immediately (I shower in the evenings). Anything else leaves me fuzzy-headed for some bizarre psychological reason, and its not like we students are allowed to sacrifice a day-off’s worth of work for the sake of jammies.

Traditionally I am the type that rolls out of bed into a pile of clothes that some how manages to become what I wear and then run out the door late for class. Other wise I kind of lounge around until I can’t put it off any longer.

I am an up and at ‘em type of guy. Everyone else in my household needs some time to wake up.

they hate me in the mornings

DrasticDreamer's avatar

I definitely lounge around. Especially if I don’t have anything to do, because then getting dressed and ready just feels weird. All I can think is, “What was the point of that?”. :D

On weekdays the wife has to threaten me with my life to get me out of bed (I hate mornings) but, for whatever reason, on weekends I’m usually the 1st one up. No rush to get dressed unless something’s actually going on, and that’s a 50/50 around here.

if i don’t go out of the house all weekend, i don’t get out of my pajamas either haha. i hate getting ready for nothing. i’ve been just chilling out at home this weekend, and i’ve been wearing giant tshirts allll day every day. it’s nice.

also i’d like to add that i’ve jumped out of bed and into the shower in an enthusiastic manner maybe once or twice in my life, especially on a weekend that i don’t have to get up at any set time.

I get up, turn the computer on, make coffee, get the paper & sit on here & get my overnight mails, all in my pj’s. Unless I have somewhere to go in the mornings, I wander into the shower around 9:30.

essieness's avatar

I’m definitely not a morning person and need time to get my wheels turning. Part of that process involves letting my medicine kick in (I have adrenal insufficiency and by morning, my brain is mush), and having a couple cups of coffee. I work nights, but I spend my days mainly in my pj’s doing schoolwork or reading. I get ready at the last possible minute.

nebule's avatar

I’m normally a laze in your PJs kind a gal but this morning i got up, got washed and dressed straight away and feel like I’ve got soooo much more time now…

MacBean's avatar

I am in pajamas as much as possible. I get dressed minutes before I have to walk out the door to get where I’m going, and the first thing I do when I get back home is put my PJs back on.

AstroChuck's avatar

PJs? Who wears those? What’s wrong with what the good Lord gave ya?
Of course, I do live in sunny California. Perhaps nudity isn’t okay where you guys are.

bythebay's avatar

@AstroChuck: Have you been chatting with my husband?

MacBean's avatar

@AstroChuck—I’m in upstate NY, I live with other people, and there is no lock on my door. Nudity isn’t really an option!

fireside's avatar

I toss and turn when I sleep alone, so nudity would be bad as it may lead to rug burns where they shouldn’t be!

jca's avatar

I hang out in sweats or jammies until about a half hour before i have to leave the house, then i get ready.
