Where did the ghost come from?

I am playing MySims on the Wii and have just noticed a ghost come up on screen and I dont know how I unlocked it or when. Does anyone know how this ghost character came into the game and where it came from? It usually spooks me and I can interact with it now and also see right through it. I have only 2 stars on screen that are yellow.

While I haven’t played MySims, I can tell you what I know from The Sims 2 (which I’ve played extensively). The ghost appeared because a Sim died. There are a number of ways this can happen:
1. Starvation
2. Object Disaster (hazardous objects that the Sim lacks the proper skill to interact with)
3. Fire
Ghosts have their own sets of specialized Wants and Fears that are too extensive to get into here. I’d recommend a strategy guide if you’d like to learn more. Hope this is relevant for MySims!
