I need a fairly good quality sound recording program so I can record from my PC’s audio in. Sound recorder doesn’t work at all. Can you reccomend and free programs that are of good quality?

Sorry mod, I misread your suggestion.

Audacity is probably the most popular, I think it’s the standard for free Windows audio programs.

I just started using Audacity (as suggested by @jaytkay ) to rip my vinyl collection—it’s a free & fairly popular program—really haven’t checked out its features yet.

I have Audacity on my computer. I think I only used it once, but it works well.
