Help me broaden my workout mix horizons:?

Asked by jlelandg (3536points) April 19th, 2011

I have an ipod that I love to death and use to mainly bike with (run if my foot agrees). I listen to alot of Metallica S&M, Pink Floyd, a little Green Day, and even the 1812 Overture to make my workout right, but unfortunately I only have about 60 songs in my workout playlist so I’m starting to get tired of some of the selections-even though they are great songs.

I used to have a hard drive with tons of great stuff I love, but I lost it last year…I need suggestions of something that’s going to help me get up and GO!

I will try most anything you suggest that I don’t already have knowledge that it otherwise doesn’t meet my taste…I also go heavy on the GA button for good stuff.

Try Happy Hardcore. It’s pretty fast paced, seems pretty good for exercising.

@marinelife I saw EC play that live in a bar after his concert awesome choice!

Here is a killer Queen rocker!

@Cruiser I would love to have been at that concert with you! Thanks, I had never heard that particular Queen video. I am a huge Freddie Mercury fan.

Give Genitorturers a try. They are definitely loud :)

Girl Talk is fun to workout to, it kinda keeps you distracted and amused. If you like that type of thing. I suggest the album “Feed the Animals”.

You could get into some old school thrash and punk. Maybe some DRI, Black Flag, Exploited, Anthrax, Misfits, Dead Kennedys. If you like more recent hardcore, you could check out Madball or Terror.
