Best way to rip DVD's and keep their quality?

Asked by Lost_World (1231points) September 18th, 2010

If some of you remember from my last question you will know I recently got a server computer, so I was planing to use it as a media server and a web server.

What would be the best format to rip my DVD collection to, that would be small enough to stream wirelessly to a Boxee Box, but keep quality good enough to view on a TV?

I find Handbrake’s Apple TV preset profile gives a good picture quality and produces files that aren’t too big.
