Do you use smileys / emojis?

I am trying one here

I love them, but I’ve never seen them work here, except for the ones you make with punctuation.
I have been told that it’s inappropriate of me to use emojis, as I am not a 13 year old girl, but I have done many inappropriate things and nobody died so I’ll continue to take my chances.

No. I have a vocabulary which is perfectly capable of expressing anything I wish to convey.

Sometimes! Why not? As long as we aren’t using them habitually. Sometimes they perfectly express how I’m feeling.

I use them at times, especially on facebook.

No and I don’t like them. I don’t have a fancy phone, so they just come up as black and white squares for me.

I use them a lot in text messages. I like them.

I actually like them. Sometimes I am a dick and they help to let people know I haven’t had my morning tea yet and transformed into a rainbow machine yet.

I like emoticons emojis and use them occasionally on Fluther.
I think they’re a simple way of taking the ambiguity out of a lot of statements. Snark or not. :-)

Pretty sure we can only post unicode characters on Fluther, so only emojis that have a unicode equivalent (see examples) will take.

I use a few. I use the sunflower, palm tree, smiley faces, smiley with sunglasses, frown face, frustrated face, sun, gift box, cars, hearts, Christmas tree, that’s all I can think of right now.

Yes, I use them, mostly for silly fun texts. As well, my husband isn’t big on long messages, so there are a few that I use to tell him when I have left work and where I am stopping on the way. Four or five emojis instead of two sentences works best for us.

I always think of ⚡️ as the Harry Potter emoji
