@Luckyguy will be in the SF Bay Area in mid February. We will at Jupiter Brewing on Shattuck in Berkeley, at 6:30 p.m. on February 16.
Please let us know if you can make it so we grab a big enough table.

Jupter can get really busy. There are a lot of tables, but it’s often hard to find one if there is an event of one kind or another.
I’ll be there.

Ah, I have such fond memories of dropping out of UC Berkeley, and my niece being rejected by Boalt. ;)
I spent more time at the Vietnam Day Committee table than I did in class.
My poor niece had to settle for Harvard. ;(

We met successfully!, and @raum rallied and joined us! Great time was had by all, we are looking forward to next months gathering with @janbb and also looking forward in a few years to the eclipse gathering in upstate NY at @LuckyGuy‘s place!
We are Barting back to Concord. Had a wonderful visit with @zenvelo, @raum, and @LuckyGuy.
Afterwards, I watched @LuckyGuy dancing a jig on the Bart station platform.
Alright, alright…you guys were totally right. Meeting up tonight totally did help my funk.
Really glad I got to meet @zenvelo (in his hawaiian shirt), @filmfann (with his avatar picture), the lovely Mrs. Filmfann (and pictures of her amazing quilts)…and this other really nice guy who may or may not have been @LuckyGuy (since I did not check his prostate to confirm).~
It was a lot of fun! And despite me being entirely antisocial, I’m looking forward to doing it again in March. :)
Only regret is not seeing (possibly) LuckyGuy dancing a jig. :P
Oh! And I had to chuckle that @filmfann thought I was going to pull an Irish goodbye when I had to use the restroom.

Just to set the record straight, I wasn’t just “dancing a jig.” It was a couple of steps of Shuffle Dance that I finally figured out.
If I recall, a certain penguin wanted me to post a video as proof which I will not do. But @filmfann is a witness and I know you all trust him!
~What @Brian1946 neglected to mention where we wore our outside undies. Since we were seated at a table in a restaurant we wore them on our heads to make it easier to find each other. :-)

Ha! Does Jupiter have a bouncer? Probably not. At least it would have been gentle if they had kicked me out for suggesting that.
The underwear on the head thing was amusing for a minute, but next time I’ll remember to bring my facemask.
